Frequently Asked Questions

How does the matching algorithm work?
The tool matches transactions by comparing dates and amounts. Two transactions match when they share the same date and the amounts are within $0.01 of each other. Unmatched entries from either side are flagged as discrepancies.
What format should I paste my data in?
Paste CSV or tab-separated data with columns: Date, Description, Amount. The first row is treated as a header if it contains non-numeric values. Dates can be in most common formats (MM/DD/YYYY, YYYY-MM-DD, etc.).
Is my financial data stored?
No. All reconciliation happens in your browser. Your data is never sent to any server. Close the tab and it's gone.
Can I reconcile more than two sources?
The free version compares two data sets (your records vs. bank statement). Multi-source reconciliation with automatic categorization is available with BizStackHub Premium.
